Short answer: oil and gas electrical grounding should be selected by corrosion class, hazardous area rules, bonding continuity, conductor material, connection reliability and inspection requirements.

Oil and gas grounding cannot be selected only by conductor size. Corrosion, inspection rules and hazardous area requirements must be checked.
