Cable lugs should be matched to conductor material, conductor cross-section, palm hole diameter, barrel type, plating, crimping tool and installation environment.

Buyer checklist

• Use copper lugs for copper conductors and aluminum or bimetal lugs for aluminum conductor transitions.
• Confirm cable size in mm2, AWG or kcmil.
• Confirm one-hole, two-hole, long barrel, short barrel, insulated or tubular type.
• Confirm IEC 61238-1 or project crimping requirement.
• Send drawing if palm width, hole spacing or barrel length is controlled.
