Short answer: cable accessories should be grouped by voltage class before model selection. A 1kV, 10kV, 20kV, 35kV, 110kV or 220kV cable accessory is selected by system voltage, insulation level, cable construction and applicable standard.
| 1kV | Low-voltage heat shrink termination, low-voltage cable joint, insulation and sealing accessories. |
|---|---|
| 10kV to 35kV | Medium-voltage terminations and joints for distribution networks, substations, industrial power and utility projects. |
| 110kV to 220kV | High-voltage pre-molded joints and terminations. Confirm cable datasheet, insulation diameter and project test requirements. |
| Standard | Use IEC 60502-4 for MV accessories and IEC 60840 or utility requirements for HV cable systems. |
Do not select a cable accessory only by conductor size. Voltage class and insulation diameter are required for a safe model match.
